    • The Department serves as the ICAR NCVTC, Hisar Centre for Veterinary Microbes for Maharashtra.
    • Under the ICAR NCVTC, Hisar Centre Scheme, the department has established a repository comprising 253 unique bacterial isolates, 14 fungal isolates, and 8 virus cultures.
    • The department has developed a modular facility for research and diagnosis of Rabies.
    • The department established a Rapid Disease Diagnostic Centre for Small Ruminants under the RKVY Research Project.
    • M.V.Sc. research projects on Rabies led to the development of IgY against Rabies glycoprotein (Ectodomain) in poultry eggs.

The Department of Veterinary Microbiology is well-equipped with advanced laboratory facilities essential for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, diagnostic investigation of animal diseases, and research activities.

• State-of-the-art Molecular Diagnosis, Bacteriology and Virology laboratories for diagnosis of diseases of small and large ruminants, companion animals, and birds.
• Advanced MALDI-TOF facility for animal disease diagnosis and research activities.
• Modular Bacterial Culture Collection Subcentre of NCVTC, Hissar for Maharashtra for effective teaching, demonstration, and case-based learning.
• Digital Microscopy Facility for high-resolution teaching, demonstration, and research purposes.
• Advanced Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory (PCR, ELISA, Virus Isolation Facility) dedicated to molecular diagnosis and research on infectious animal diseases.
