Laboratory Facilities

Laboratory Facilities in the Department:

• Helminthology Laboratory cum Museum: Entomology Museum and Protozoology Laboratory.
• Instrumentation such as microscopes, centrifuge machines, autoclaves, pH meters, and hot air ovens and desiccators.
• Diagnostic services including examination of faeces, blood smears, skin scrapings, urine samples for parasites, and identification of various parasitic forms.
• Teaching - Charts, LCD projectors, Black Board
• Manuals for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Diagnostic services offered by the Department:

• The department offers the diagnostic services of faecal sample examination for diagnosis of helminth parasitic infection and enteric protozoa, skin scrapping examination for diagnosis of ectoparasitic infestation and blood smear examination for diagnosis of Haemoprotozoan infection in livestock and poultry by using conventional as well as molecular tools.
