Department of Pathology is imparting educational courses in U.G., P.G. and Ph.D. degree program and also provides diagnostic post mortem services and advanced laboratory diagnostic facilities to poultry and livestock farmers and field veterinarians. Post graduate research is concentrated in the field of toxico-pathology, molecular diagnostics for endemic and re-emerging diseases and also on nanoparticles.

Diagnostic services offered by the department:

• Diagnostic post-mortem for domestic and wild animals, as well as poultry.
• Histopathology.
• Clinical pathology.
• Molecular diagnostics for viral, bacterial, and mycoplasmal agents.
• Isolation of viruses using embryonated eggs or cell culture.
• Mycotoxin analysis of feed samples (Qualitative).
