The Department of Veterinary Biochemistry at Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur came into existence as a full-fledged separate department in the year 2003. Previously, the subject was combined with Veterinary Physiology as “Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry”. At present, specialized staff is available in the Department of Vety. Biochemistry, which is pursuing under-graduate programme as well as offering the PG courses as minor subject to the students of other departments of the college. It also offers the PG course of the Biotechnology subject as major course.

• Diagnostic Services: The department offers biochemical diagnostic services at TVCC that aid in the early detection and management of animal diseases. By analyzing blood samples, veterinarians can identify metabolic disorders, nutritional deficiencies, and organ dysfunctions, enabling timely interventions to maintain herd health.
