The MAFSU offers 420 seats for the course of B.V.Sc.& A.H. every year
System of Educations

Semester Pattern, with academic year comprising of two semesters and total course duration is 5 years (10 semesters including compulsory rotational internship programme of 6 months duration in the last semester).
Clearance of Semester end examination (internal) and Annual Board Examination (external) qualifies the candidate for promotion to next academic year (minimum 50 % passing percentage is required as per VCI rules and regulations)
Eligibility conditions for Admission

The candidate desires to take admission under this category has to appear for MH-CET Entrance Examination conducted by Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and must obtained 50% marks in the said examination. The notification in this regard is published by DMER, Mumbai in Daily News Papers usually in the month of February.
The candidate desires to take admission under this category has to appear for All India Common Entrance Examination conducted by Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi each year. The notification in this regard is published by VCI, New Delhi in the leading News Papers and Employment News usually in the month of January-February every year.
The candidates domiciled in State of Maharashtra who desires to take admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Course has to appear for MHT-CET Entrance Examination conducted Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and must obtain 50% marks (Open Category) and 40% marks (Reserved Category) in the said examination. The notification in this regard is published by DMER, Mumbai in Daily News Papers usually in the month of February.
The candidates domiciled in State other than Maharashtra and who desires to take admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Course has to appear for MHT-CET Entrance Examination conducted by Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and must obtain 50% marks in the said examination. The admissions for B.V.Sc. & A.H usually start in the month of August – September every year.

The Syllabus comprises of 188 credits as minimum requirement to be covered from 1st to 9th Semester
The Student is eligible to undergo 6 months compulsory internship programme only after successful completion of course curriculum

Attendance
Students should be fully aware that they will not be allowed to appear for the examination if they do not attend minimum 80% classes of theory and practical.

Hostel Accommodation
Hostel accommodation for a limited number of students is available at the hostels of the colleges of the University. Every student admitted to constituent colleges may not necessarily be given hostel accommodation. Hostel accommodation will not be a right of the student

Discipline
The cases of unfair means and the cases of misbehavior will be dealt with as per Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur student Discipline and Conduct Rules, 2001 and as amended from time to time
Bonafide students of the colleges allegedly found involving in activities like ragging, bullying or kidnapping and any other act of indiscipline shall immediately be suspended from the college as well as the hostel without any notice by the Associate Dean of the College and are liable to be expelled from the college by the Vice-Chancellor on the detailed report of the Registrar of the University as per provision.
